This Doctors surgery (Ivybridge Health Centre) are blessed with having some first rate Doctors and over the past 11 years, I have had some of the best medical care one could expect.
Sadly, that's where the good stuff ends.
Getting to see a doctor or even making the appointment to suit working life appears to be impossible.
The procedures used to operate the surgery are severely flawed and the whole administrative effort spoils what otherwise would be an absolute first rate service.
This has become much worse since Beacon took over.
When one cannot choose an appointment to see your preferred doctor 2 weeks out, that becomes a problem.
Perhaps we should all become crystal ball gazers to see when we will next be ill enough to see a Doctor.
I for one won't bother with trivial matters (I never have) and if something worries me enough to warrant a Doctor and I cannot get an appointment, perhaps I could find a walk-in surgery somewhere instead.
It's a shame, because at the sharp end, the surgery does well, but it is let down my inefficient practices and poor procedures.
"Great medical care, poor administration"
