We as a family are all so very grateful for the way that Penelope was cared for and helped during her stay at Reed Ward.

This has been a difficult time for us all to see Penelope so worried, frightened and at times so difficult to help or care for, but the Julian was so well staffed that she was allowed enough freedom to satisfy her frustrations and at the same time help and guidance was available to prevent any disasters.

Thank you to all the staff for their patience, kindness and efficient way they cared for Penelope.

The whole ward had a surprisingly comforting atmosphere of care and kindness.

If there was one thing that we could be critical about, it is that we found it difficult to speak to any one person to get an overall report on how Penelope's treatment and response was progressing.

We do understand that so many people were involved in different shifts that this would be difficult to arrange.

Especial thanks to the Student Nurse for her particular interest and care for Penelope.

Also, two other members of staff were cheerful, caring, attentive and helpful.
