"Disappointed and embarased!"

Patient of hyndburn medical centre and visited 3 times. First two times I seen a lovely lady doctor who was really helpful took on board everything I was saying, made me feel really at ease and very reassuring everything is ok. However on my most recent visit I was seen by a very arrogant doctor with very little compassion in his work and made me feel really uncomfortable and stupid. I am a 25 year old insecure women and had recently found a large lump in my breast. I kept putting off going to the doctors - now I know why! I had been preparing myself all day after panicking. I walked into the room and explained my situation and said that although I had it and it was very large I now couldn't find. The doctor didn't pay me any eye contact didn't seem at all interested shrugged his shoulders whilst looking at the wall and said 'what do you want me to do about it. If it's not there it's not there- I have never felt so ashamed in all my life. No wonder young women put it off going to the doctors when your faced with this treatment. I went to stand up and said oh okay as I was very embarased. He then said well I suppose i can have a look and went to get a chaperone. Still the doctor was very rude. I won't be returning to this surgery again if I'm faced with him. I will also be going further with this complaint as I keep thinking about it over and over again and I don't want anyone else to experience the treatment I got- if they haven't already
