I presented myself to A & E with a badly infected gammy leg and within half hour I had been seen by triage, had bloods taken, Canula out and seen a Doctor and taken thru to a day unit and hooked up to a drip. I was really well looked after with staff having a lovely sense of humour. Eventually when it was clear that my leg wasn’t responding I was placed on a ward for just over a week. The ward I was on was clean and spacious with just 4 beds to a bay. Visiting times were quite relaxed. Staff from doctors, nurses, specialist dressings, auxilliaries, trolley ladies n gents were so caring and sincere with a great sense of humour whilst remaining professional - nothing was too much trouble and I have nothing but admiration for the wonderful staff from A& E to ward 22. On being discharged i was sent home with bags full of dressings for the comm7nutt nurse visits when home, antibiotics, letters, everything was in place and sorted very efficiently.
I’m so glad to be home but extremely thankful to the hospital staff too.
A massive thankyou to you all.
"Excellent all round care-wonderfully caring staff"
