"Outpatient appointment"

About: Leicester General Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

Appalled at the way you can still be treated in a custodial and degrading way. Having waited for an appointment (not too long), but having experienced pain discomfort and a lot of anxiety and lifestyle disruption, I was looking forward in an odd way to be able to see someone to discuss and get some answers.....how wrong can you be.....my experience summarised as

...not listened to the doctor dictated and lectured me my experience and feelings not important and when I did try to explain they didn’t fit the “box” so disregarded

...rushed appointment

...poor examination....

....herded like cattle with no dignity

....made to feel inferior and something dirty and inconvenient

Did try to raise concern but feel the culture pulled ranks and turned all bad practice down to my approach😫😫😫

Well unfortunately we need this so called specialist advice but we can only receive it at a cost....your dignity.....your self respect....not being treated as a person...
