"Carsview centre"

About: Carseview Centre / General Psychiatry

(as a service user),

I have been assessed at the carsview centre on more than one occasion and I have to say that the staff I been in contact with are the most arrogant Uncompassionate people I have ever came across definitely not people who should be working with vulnerable suicidal people.

my last time there I was repeatedly called rude and defensive during my emergency assessment with the crisis team.....yes that’s what to do be rude to a suicidal person that will help them!

Dear "papawf96"

I am very concerned about the experiences you describe and would like to hear more detail about them. NHS Tayside has launched an Independent Inquiry into Mental Health Services in Tayside and we want to encourage people to come forward and share their stories with us. There are many ways in which you can do this.

The Independent Inquiry has already started to engage with patients, families and charities to ensure they have a strong voice in the process and we would encourage you to share your experiences with them.

The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) is leading the involvement of patients, families, the public, the third sector and mental health charities at the Tayside Mental Health Services Independent Inquiry. The ALLIANCE is a national intermediary organisation which aims to ensure people are at the centre and their voices sit at the heart of the delivery and improvement of support and services.

The ALLIANCE wants to hear from as many people as possible to support the Inquiry with its review. There is a dedicated website at https://www.alliance-scotland.org.uk/people-and-networks/tayside/. There you will be able to find up-to-date information on how to get involved with the Inquiry. You can also contact the Inquiry by email at tayside@alliance-scotland.org.uk.

We are listening and, if anything needs to be changed, we will take immediate action to change it.
