"Admissions Ward Excellent"

About: St Thomas' Hospital / Accident and emergency

My 74 year old aunt was admitted via ED to the admissions ward with a severe eye infection and low blood pressure. All of the staff from staff nurses, healthcare assistants, student nurses, pharmacists, doctors and also the consultant were nothing short of excellent. They all showed empathy and portrayed excellent communication skills as well as treating my aunt with dignity and respect. The ward had something like 60 beds and they were clearly very busy however you wouldn’t have known that from the time and care with which they treated my aunt. She has always received fantastic care from St Thomas’ and we are very pleased that it is her local hospital.
