On 6th June I had both my ears syringed. On 5th July I had a private appointment for a hearing test. The test could not be carried out because the hearing specialist said my right ear was full of dark wax. On 6th July I went to the practice, armed with that information, to book another ear syringe. I was informed that I had to wait 6 weeks from the date of the last syringe. It was clear and obvious that the first ear syringe had not been carried out properly. Even if there might have been other clinical reasons why I had to wait, the wax needed to be removed.
The reasons for the 6 week wait was not explained to me. I was overwhelmingly embarrassed to have to cancel the hearing test.
