Thank you for taking time to share your story. The Trust provides continental style breakfasts to patients of cereal, toast and fruit juice. Porridge is an option and this is cooked in the kitchen and transported in the heated trolley.

A cooked breakfast is provided (grilled bacon and scrambled egg) to patients on an eat well diet. Again this is transported in an heated trolley. Nursing staff can request a cooked breakfast as a special request for their patients.

The Catering staff rely on nursing colleagues to serve the food as soon as it arrives on the ward. I am sorry that your experience was not as we expect for all our patients and our catering department will work more closely with nursing and volunteering staff to ensure that we meet the required standards at all times.
