"Miscarriage"

About: St Mary's Hospital (Newport)

I had a checkup with the midwife no heartbeat found. Referred for a scan at the hospital.

Not good news.

Was told let nature take its course! Not exactly a nice thing to be told. Was admitted for a D&C.

Had a doctor in training take a pregnancy test and was told I was still pregnant and everything was OK.

Then told it wasn't again. Whole situation was very distressing and not dealt with well.

I was very sorry and disappointed to read of your experience and the distress this has caused you, it is not the standard of care we aspire to deliver, and for this I am truly sorry. I have shared your comments with senior staff and would ask that if you have not done so already you contact the PALS services on 01983 534850 and they will arrange for you to speak to a manager to discuss your experience in person.
