"First experience in hospital!"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

Minor op in Day surgery at Queen Margaret in Dunfermline.  I had never been in hospital for an op and had never had a general anaesthetic so was extremely nervous and somewhat apprehensive about what to expect.

From the outset I was put at ease by the staff and especially by the nursing care S/N Nicolle and Emma were especially attentive, caring, understanding and supportive throughout.  The anaesthetist (Ruth) also was extremely considerate and explained the process of what was about to happen.  They all cared.  I was met by Dr Al-Jaafari and Dr Good who again explained the procedure and expected outcome and recovery.

Overall I cannot thank the staff enough for caring for me and making a very nervous and apprehensive patient at ease.

Thank you

On behalf of the staff, Mr Al-Jaafari and Dr Good once again thank you for your comments, I will certainly share your post with them all and they will appreciate reading your story.

Wishing you well in your recovery

Kind Regards
