"Felt worthless"

About: Northern General Hospital / Accident and emergency

I was brought in with a suspected TIA. Arrived at A + E at 4.30pm and still sat in A + e at 2.16am. Day staff were great even though they were very busy. Night staff tonight however are the opposite with hardly any communication. Not approachable. Was told i needed to be transferred to stroke nurse at hallamshire at 8.30pm yet its 2.19am and im still at northern. Hungry thirsty feeling vunerable but worthless. They way they have spoke to some people tonight is disgusting

Thank you for leaving feedback and I am very sorry to learn that you felt this way as this is certainly not what we would expect for any patient and this does not reflect the values we hold at the Trust. If you would like us to look into this matter further please do not hesitate to contact our Patient Services Team either by calling them on 0114 271 2400 or by emailing them at pst@sth.nhs.uk, to provide more details.

With thanks and best wishes
