Whilst on holiday in your area I slipped and fell out of the hotel bath onto the stone floor which resulted in a lot of bruising to my face, legs and one of my feet. The following day my foot had swollen so badly my husband took me to A & E, Harrogate Hospital. We arrived at approx 08.15 am and was seen by a male nurse who checked my various bruises and especially my foot. I was soon having an X-ray on the foot which was fortunately found not to be broken. I was given this information by a doctor and advised on how to reduce the swelling. Her colleague then checked that everything was OK prior to my leaving the department at 09.15 am.

I cannot speak highly enough of the way I was treated by the A & E team who were so kind, courteous and extremely efficient. I can honestly say that they made my visit far less daunting than is usually expected and are all a credit to the medical profession.
