"follow up treatment"

About: Scarborough General Hospital / Ophthalmology

I received a letter following my visit on 25/10/2017 telling me I would have a follow up visit in about 6 months time 8 months have elapsed with no appointment. I have tried phoning on the number provided to be told on several occasions that you are receiving a high number of calls and as yet I have never managed to contact the appointment clerk. Can you tell me how to get a follow up appointmemt if I cannot make contact with the hospital? The treatment I have had has been satisfactory but the appointment system seem chaotic.

I'm very sorry to read this, and also apologise for the delay in picking up this comment and responding.

If you are still having problems, I would urge you to call our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01904 726262 Monday-Friday 9am-4pm. Although they cannot make appointments for you, they should be able to put you through to the right team or get someone to call you back.

Apologies again, I hope you have already managed to get an appointment, but if not I hope we can sort this quickly for you now.
