My original birth plan was to have my baby delivered on MLU, however after seeing a consultant I was now at high risk as my baby was measuring small, and I was basically told my baby is better out than in. I had a sweep performed and was told I needed to be induced on the 24th June I’d nothing naturally happened in the meantime.
However on Thursday 21st June things naturally progressed, went to maternity triage and was greater by a midwife. Who was helpful and made me feel in control at all times, and if wasn’t sure got another midwife to check but they involved me in everything. Early hours of 22nd June my baby was born, midwifes very very supportive and helpful. Was moved to delivery suite ward till my partner could come back at 10am. We was discharged that afternoon. Unfortunately we ended back up in hospital on 27th June after the community midwife stayed my baby looks jaundice and also has lost weight. The girls on baby clinic have been absolutely amazing! So supportive and helpful and really reassuring. Have included me in everything and I feel in safe hands. Currently still here making sure my baby’s ok. Due to being sleep deprived they have kindly fed my baby on a few occasions so I can get the sleep in. Can not fault the staff and service here you should all be proud of yourself s. Thankyou so much xx
