"Awful receptionist"

Last time I tried to book an appointment I was treated with no respect by the receptionist and also spoke to me with attitude like if they were doing me a favour, definitely doesn't know how to speak with patients and needs training. Also making me wait 30 minutes or more to finally book me an appoinement. When I calll phone will ring and no ones picks up the calls and when I go in person most of the time the reception is empty and you have to wait long until finally someone comes.

Thank you for your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that you have had problems contacting the department by telephone. Also we are concerned to hear that when you tried to book an appointment the receptionist was rude to you and you had to wait a further 30 minutes to book the appointment. We would like to apologise for this. We will speak to the reception team about the importance of treating patients with courtesy and respect when they contact the team to make an appointment. Unfortunately at busy times it can take longer than we would like for patients to get through to the centre on the telephone. if you wodul like to contact our PALS Service on 020 7188 8801 or email pals@gstt.nhs.uk they will be able to look into this matter on your behalf.
