"First class care"

I would like to say a big Thankyou to Barnsley hospital on behalf of my family for the amazing care of my grandma who sadly passed away whilst being cared for at the hospital.

Firstly a big Thankyou to AMU for what I can describe as the best care I have witnessed whilst being in the hospital. The care and compassion for my grandma was the best. Every member of staff from the domestics, to the nurses, to the doctors was first class. Despite the busy and sometimes stressful environment, nothing was too much for the staff in regards to my grandmas care. She was treated with respect and dignity through out. We were supported as a family and I cannot Thank you all enough.

She was moved to ward 24 after a few days and again my biggest thanks to all the staff on 24. We were provided with a beautiful room where we got to spend some precious time together as a family. Once again my grandma was treated with dignity and respect and every need was met. Throughout her last days and hours she was made comfortable as much as possible and ultimately died with dignity which is all we could ask for. I have nothing but praise for the staff on 24. Thankyou .

My biggest Thankyou to the Macmillan team who saw my grandma whilst in the hospital. She was listened to, respected and her needs were met. We were updated and supported the whole time and as a family that was so important to us. The hospital Macmillan team are incredible and go above and beyond.
