"Good service at Solihull Hospital gastro outpatients"

About: Solihull Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I had a good experience at Solihull hospital outpatient dept recently.

There is a team of volunteers who guide you to the appropriate waiting area. Support staff and nurses do a review weigh-in and then I was seen by a member of the Gasteroenterology team. He promised a Dextra scan in the near future which was carried out and I was then informed of the outcome by post.

I was seen promptly by the medical staff, but had to wait longer for a phlebotomist slot, operated by a help yourself ticket system.

Thank you very much for taking the time to send us your feedback which we are glad to see was overall positive. We will ensure your feedback is shared with the relevant staff.

At peak times when outpatients clinics are held there may be a slight wait for a blood test to be carried out but as many staff possible are made available in the area to see patients as soon as they can.

Thanks again
