"Patronising Receptionist"

Speaking to a receptionist at Farnsfield should not be so much of a chore.

After waiting 4 wks for an appointment I was devastated that my illness had caused me to miss the appointment - trying to explain the pain of Fibromyalgia and the debilitating chronic fatigue experienced preventing me from attending (which was the whole basis of why I needed an appointment) to a very unsympathetic receptionist who clearly had no understanding at all of just how soul destroying and debilitating my illness is was just awful and made me feel so much worse than I already feel.

I explained that it was particularly the terrible fatigue that I needed to discuss to which she replied if I’d rung in the morning she could have got me a telephone conversation to which I replied but that’s the problem my body is in complete spasm and I’m not awake! Which I had previously explained when I made the original appointment but still only given a morning slot.

To which she replied ring first thing in the morning to see if she could get me a telephone appointment the following week

After hanging up I burst into tears out of sheer frustration.

And so the cycle begins again
