About: The Churchill Clinic

After being a patient at Bristol village surgery for about 25 years, I was heartbroken when we needed to leave when we moved.

We are a family of 5 and the surgery had watched us grow.

When I started reviewing drs in this area I felt absolutely gutted. Churchill clinics reviews were pretty good although with everything there are bad reviews on everything. I took the risk and registered us all.

I do have regular medication and the receptionists and drs have worked really well at ensuring there were no interruptions with my repeat prescriptions.

The receptionists very helpful and will direct you quickly and efficiently to who will be better to see you. Some may complain that it’s not their business to know your personal problems and everyone is entitled to confidentiality, but it does allow them to get you seen or contacted by the right person and within a timely manner.

I have not had a problem seeing a dr when required and when I thought I needed to see a dr the receptionist thought I was appropriate to see a nurse and she was indeed right. And just to add, I’m a qualified nurse and midwife, so very impressed with the judgements made.

The drs I’ve seen are approachable, kind and don’t make you feel rushed. They are professional and caring and take a holistic approach. The nurse I saw today acted quickly and efficiently when my asthma was quite acute and causing me some distress.

When I phoned the other day for my daughter, the doctor was able to correctly triage and followed it up with appropriate treatment over the phone.

If I had had just 1 contact with the surgery and it was positive then it could be argued that I got lucky, but after having a number of contacts in different formats, luck is not a factor and I’d be more than confident to recommend anyone to attend here.

The decor could be modernised but if the cost for fancy chairs is spent on quality staff then I’m not one to complain.

Ringing sometimes can be a little frustrating but perseverance always gets an answer and with the right assessments and triaging gets you seen when necessary.

It is great to know that we are providing the kind of services our patients need. We are currently reviewing our telephony systems to see if we can improve patient access further.
