"Rudeness by the switchboard staff"

About: Northwick Park Hospital

(as a carer),

I rang the MRI department to find out where was the report on the scan that took place 2 weeks prior.  The answer was "you are ringing the wrong department" and was dutifully transferred to ?.  After 22 minutes the switchboard answered who asked me whom I wanted to speak to.  As I didn't know the answer to that they asked me questions and transferred me back to the MRI department.  When they answered, I told them that the switchboard put me back to them and they said "I told you to ask for the Outpatient Dept" and without waiting for me to explain immediately transferred back to the switchboard.  After 12 minutes of waiting I had finally been transferred, this time to the "Outpatient Clinic".  The phone rang and rang forever and after 10 minutes I was cut off.  How frustrating is all of this you may ask.

I am absolutely disgusted by this treatment which showed lack of care by the switchboard who could not be bothered to be more precise in their answers, they just press the transfer button in the middle of my enquiry to get rid of me.
