I've had a pelvic scan in January and received an appointment letter from them in late April! It took FOUR MONTHS for the hospital to review a simple ultrasound report and inform me about the need for an hysteroscopy.
During my appointment in April, I was told that I had to have a small surgery which would allow them to check for any abnormalities.. In May I received another letter informing me about the 18 WEEK waitlist for this '10-minute' operation.
I decided to go to a private hospital as my experience at Warwick Hospital was extremely unsatisfactory and nerve-wrecking.
At the private hospital, the entire process took only 7 days: including a new ultrasound, a new smear test, 30 minute surgery, review of the results at the pathology lab and a follow up appointment.
I just hope that I will never need to go to this hospital again.
