At my 1st appt at the RLH I was recognised as having a high risk pregnancy due to a number of facts. I was referred to be seen by a consultant at 12 weeks. Guess what am at week 30 and haven’t heard anything! I went to the antenatal department to ask if they can check why there has been a delay. Rude guy at reception says that it’s for my midwife to chase at GP. I said she has and no I’m got back to her and I have called your department and no one picks up the phone! At my 28 weeks I again got my midwife to do another referral and she dropped it off by hand and I still haven’t heard anything or been contacted to go see the high risk consultant. I’m due to have my baby there and I’m dreading it. Are they waiting for something serious to happen before taking action? If anything happens to me or my baby I will hold the hospital responsible! The attitude and service is absolutely poor. The phone rings and rings and rings for antenatal department and no one answers. Triage is another place where you end up waiting for a long time.
Seriously I’m so scared for my baby and myself.
