"Informative, kind and reassuring"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I attended the Endoscopy unit in the Health Village in Aberdeen today. I can’t fault the service I have had from talking to the appointment coordinators to the team of staff who looked after me today during my procedure. They were informative, kind and took great care to try to reassure me as much as they could. Can’t fault them at all. A service which NHS Grampian should be rightly proud of. Thank you for your care. The only constructive comment I would make is the information leaflet sent out still has phone numbers for Wards that are not in use now.

Dear PC73

Many thanks for sharing your experience and so pleased to hear that the staff were informative and took great care to reassure you. The team will be delighted to hear your comments.

We strive to ensure that our patients are well care for and glad that you experienced this when you attended the Endoscopy Unit at the Health Village.

We also aim to ensure that we give patients the correct information and apologise that this was not the case regarding the ward phone numbers in the leaflets. I will discuss this with the team and ensure this is rectified as soon as possible but thank you for bringing this to our attention.

With kind regards

Fiona Robertson Chief Nurse
