I saw a nurse today for my stitches removal. I found this nurse to be very rude. I attended with my husband. I was a bit nervous as I have not had stictches removed before when the nurse told me to sit on the bed my husband could see i was getting nervous and asked me if he should come to me in which the nurse responded would you like to sit outside? Both of us confused I then said he is only saying it cause I was nervous. The nurse then said sarcastically would you rather go into a and e and get them to put you to sleep and then take the stictches out? I then responded by saying don’t you think the a and e is under pressure already why would you send this to a and e? I said I work for the nhs you will just be increasing the cost of nhs. She then responded by saying oh now we on the same level then? Instead of calming my nerves down she said she will make sure there will be pain so I can tell people my experience. This would not calm a patient at all. Furthermore she was finding it difficult to take out my stitches because of the position of my hand? She was expecting me to twist which wasnt even possible to twist anymore. I found this nurse to be very rude sarcastic and unprofessional.
