I have been a week at king George hospital at the medical assessment unit and am so shocked to see how patients get treated. I am the patient myself writing about what happened morning with a second member of nhs staff. Another patient in my ward can’t not speak English fluently and asked if I could translate to the nurse a situation, as a nurse walked out passed me I passed the message on. The nurse didn’t like me passing a message on and told me that they were busy all morning and will assist the patient after. The nurse returned back into the room and was staring at me as they walkee past my bed and washing their hands, I asked why they were staring at me as it was making me feel uncomfortable and the nurse replied rudely. I said no need to be rude. The nurse started laughing and said I was not ill anymore and fit enough to go home. I burst out crying as I had been there nearly a week and this nurse does not know what I was going through or why I was there. How dare a nurse speak this way to a patient? This needs to be resolved, I complained to ward manager but the nurse refused to say sorry to me and said I should take it up with pals.
"Shocked by manner of nurse"
