"Helpful Nursing Staff"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Clinical haematology University Hospital Wishaw / Gastroenterology

(as a service user),

I had been referred to haemotology and gastroenterology on two days following one another. I made my own way by car but due to my mobility not being good should have arranged ambulance service. As I was very slow walking the nursing staff went out of their way to assist me during my time in their departments. Without this I would have had great difficulty.

I am most grateful for this assistance and feel this should be acknowledged.

Thank you.

Dear Margaret T,

Thank you for taking the time to feedback about your attendance at the two departments. I'm delighted to hear that staff were able to assist you to get around the hospital safely.

If you are struggling with your mobility and think you need help to attend future appointments, the Scottish Ambulance Service can be contacted Monday-Friday between 8am - 6pm on Tel No: 0300 123 1236.

Kind regards

Update posted by Margaret T (a service user)

I have used the ambulance service when necessary but on these occasions had been unwell and did not appreciate how tired I would be. I drive and like to be as mobile as possible.
