(as the patient),

I had to have an operation and I was really scared!   What really helped was Heather from the hospital play team.   She was with me all the time and explained everything To me.   My mums said that she was amazing and not sure how she would have coped without Heather.   When I came back to my bed from having my surgery there was a really cute teddy called Rabbi for me, he sleeps on my bed with me and I used the stress ball Heather gave me too to help me keep calm.   The ladies in the green outfits at the theatres were really nice talking to me too, I even got a certificate for being brave from them.

Heather is lovely isn't she. I am so glad that you felt less scared with her help. You must have been very brave though to get a certificate and a teddy - well done. I hope that you are now feeling much better and back to doing all the things you love to do.

Heather and the ladies in the operating theatres will be delighted to see your feedback and I will make sure they get a copy.
