What I liked
Nothing. A two hour wait to see a part time consultant who needed three nurses to help. No advice given, though I had to return the following day for blood tests (apparently the nurse who can do that had gone - probably because of the two hour wait. Because of the unhelpfullness I wanted to see a private consultant - I had to pay to have information released and could not believe the notes. It showed missing samples, and illegible requests for tests. It was a complete waste of time. I was referred first privately then to the Freeman Hospital in Newcaslte, where the service is excellent. I made a complaint and got a response which did contain an aplogy for the missing samples and the long waits and referral times. However, it just had the usual stuff about how they tried hard etc etc. Entirely unsatisfactory. I am still seething when I think of the treatment there.
