"Dispicable Treatment"

About: Darlaston Family Practice

I advised my wife who is a wheelchair user to join this surgery as they were good,How wrong was I !

She was in severe pain this week and managed to make a appointment , it was as usual not our normal DR but anothe doctor who basically told her the reason she could not stand was because she was telling herself she could'nt stand!!! They then proceeded to ask her how long she had had Spina Bifida for ??? I worry when a Dr asks that as it is a condition from birth. This is is not the first time she has had issues with this Dr the first time she came out in floods of tears and we ended up seeing another Dr a week later. Pretty much what we are having to do now .

As for Prescriptions , we are told they take three days to complete , not ours. This time it has taken eight days from when i took the prescription in to the time we collect the final item . and when the receptionists are asked why the prescription has'nt gone through electronically to the chemists like it has done for the last year and a half they say they can't tell you why ?!

Firstly, we would like to apologise for the experience that you have had. We always strive to provide a good clinical experience to all our patients.

We have reviewed the medical records, and would like to state that the doctor that you saw was a GP Registrar (a trainee GP), who is not employed directly by the surgery, but who is on placement here. We have escalated this matter to his trainers, for them to raise it with him as an educational need.

Thank-you for taking the time to provide this feedback,

With warm wishes,

Darlaston Family Practice
