"Rainforest ward at Lincoln county hospital."

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

Myself and my little one were admitted to the children's rainforest ward on recently. My baby was not quite 3 weeks old and very very ill. After a very long day between our gp surgery and then a very long wait in a& e we were taken to the children's ward to be looked over by a paediatrition, or so we thought. We weren't aware of how ill our little one actually was and were admitted straight away by a nurse and the on duty Dr. I was in shock and very upset and they were so lovely. They were very reassuring and I could tell straight away we were in good hands.

We were in for 6 days and I cannot say there was any point that I was not happy with the care we were receiving, especially my baby. He was the one who was poorly and in their care and yet they were still looking after me also, checking I was ok, asking everytime they come to see him if I needed anything aswell etc. From the Dr who was looking after the little one, to the ladies who brought my lunch everyday, I can't thank them all enough. After an awful 1st day, the ward staff, especially the ones on duty that night, but not discounting the other nurses and drs that we saw from there on out, they immediately restored my faith in the hospital and our care. I cannot praise nor thank them enough for what they did for my little boy.

Dear J3ssLp

Thank you for taking the time to share your story about your recent stay on our ward. We are delighted to hear it was a positive experience.

You sound like you have a very brave little boy, and its lovely to hear that he is feeling better.

We look forward to sharing your feedback with the rest of the ward.

Very best wishes
