It feels like BRI is really struggling to provide a service that can allow patients to be discharged quickly. You just don't want to go to BRI. My son 3 years old is having breathing and blood coming from his nose. We get to say the 1st Doctor within an hour (out of hours)...very impressive. However things don't improve so we go to see our Doctor at our local surgery and get to see the doctor within 1hr...very impressive. Get to BRI....first doctor after 4 hours, specialist doctors after 12 hrs only to be told that we need to see another doctor and if he/She is not available we will be discharges and need to arrange another appointment. What a joke. A bed gets used up for 2 days and only told you may need to come back. I supppse one way to bring patient numbers down is by making sure they have a poor experience so we go somewhere else. (I have a lot of respect for people who work in hospitals but things really need to improve).
