"Mixed reviews."

I attended renacres for an nhs referral, the hospital was immaculate, staff largely polite and professional. Overheard some staff expressing their discontent at someone in an ivory tower whilst waiting in reception. Overall I would revisit this hospital if I could guarantee I wouldn’t come across the horrible doctor with whom my appointment was booked.

He was dismissive in nature, very difficult to see how any patients would feel comfortable around him. Very clinical, sterile, distant. Poor communication and interpersonal skills.

He asked me about my presenting issue, reassured me that I wasn’t silly as my complaints were relatively common in his line of work but then made me feel very silly by insinuating I had presumed I was going to die?! He was just generally rude, interruptive, failed to show any compassion or regard for any input from myself.

Very disappointed with this appointment. Would not under any circumstances revisit this doctor. I have left feeling inferior, stupid and somewhat angry.
