I paid for my own treatment as the NHS had missed a mass growing in my knee which meant I spent my entire 30s in pain. At the Spire it was diagnosed quickly and the surgeon was the best surgeon I've ever come across in my life, professional, kind and highly skilled. I recovered from the surgery to fully open my knee in only a few weeks with no infection and now my life is so much better. I'm cycling with my children for the first time in their lives and I can run up and down stairs. I felt the staff listened to me and on the day of the op gave me a very personal experience. The hospital is clean, bathrooms always nearby, I had a private room where my husband could stay during my op. Nothing was too much trouble. Car park is busy but people are always leaving so a space always comes up.
