This surgery takes in all the patients. In effect, when you need an appointment you can get it in no less than 3-4 weeks. My son (17 years old) went to his appointment after long 4 weeks of waiting with a bladder infection that was treated by .... a nurse. When he finally had his appointment with a doctor, the
GP refused to give him a prescription for acne because, she can deal with only one problem during a visit!
She suggested getting another appointment (in 3 weeks, I guess?).
So if you have multiple ailments, be prepared to visit the surgery regularly, one visit = one issue tackled and no less than a month interval between the visits (are they paid for each visit, by the way; that would explain the policy?!)
All that is sheer bad will. These people are bureaucrats, not helpful at all. I tried to complain and explain that my son needs his prescription now as we have run out of medicines and he is leaving on holiday tomorrow. The advice we got -- call the prescription line, they will advise what to do!
I have never seen so little compassion. The people in this surgery, doctors and personnel, are like machines. You won't cut through the red tape, now way!
"The worst surgery in Preston. Beware!"
