"A person not a patient"

About: Darent Valley Hospital / General surgery

(as a relative),

I would just like to express my very belated appreciation to the team members of the Surgical Admissions Lounge and the Acer Unit, and everyone involved in the actual operation,

I was very impressed with the way my uncle and myself were treated throughout from arrival though to departure by everyone we encountered.

We were given clear advice regarding the procedure and kept updated on progress etc throughout.

Whilst all members of staff were very busy, no one rushed us at any stage and were happy to clarify any points we were not clear about.

My uncle is making very good progress since his operation and really felt that he was treated as a person who mattered and not a patient, which I think is admirable and an interesting viewpoint.

Keep up the great that you do for our communities

Dear Albert1927

Thank you for this lovely review of our Surgical Admissions Lounge and Acer Unit. Your kind words have been shared with the staff and it is wonderful to hear that your uncle is making such good progress.

With our best wishes
