I visited Borders General Hospital today for endoscopy, which lead to removal of tissue.
The appointment came about after using the bowel cancer screening kit which had been sent to me from Dundee.
The result from the screening seemed almost immediate and the follow up at bgh was scheduled for today.
From first contact with the team at bgh l have had no fears about the procedure and having it carried out this morning was unpleasant but tolerable.
This was due to the care and attitude of everyone in that department from the nurses, consultant and receptionists.
