My sister has been under the 'care' of CMHT pretty much since she was 10, she is now 29.
Along the way there have been some very helpful carers and staff as well as very unhelpful ones.
My sister is in dire need of some specialist care regarding her BPD.
As well as BPD she suffers with vertigo which can make her totally bed ridden for weeks on end.
She continually threatens to kill herself (some attempts have been made) and we have involved the ambulance service and the Police at times.
As a family, we need help.
It is simply unfair to expect us, general members of the public to care for a mentally ill adult.
We are her family and obviously want the best for her, but the NHS is going to end up with a long list of new patients all with mental health problems due to the amount of stress dealing with her puts on us all if this situation isn't resolved soon.
I myself have two children who I am trying to protect from the constant messages and phone calls we receive.
It is exhausting.
My mum and dad are not together anymore, but I know that they are at their wits end.
They are both in their 60's and have to put up with constant phone calls and threats of suicide from her, it is truly never ending. We need your help and a new resolution urgently.
