"Can’t thank this hospital enough they went..."

About: West Suffolk Hospital / Cardiology

6 weeks prior to being admitted to the west suffolk i had had a heartattack treated with emergency angioplasty procedure at the N&N .which is my local hospital .

While out shopping in BSe I experienced chest pains and went To WS a/e I had my husband who has denintia with me and I was driving . No relatives live near by . I received brilliant care in a/e no test left while I was being treated my husband was cared for in the discharge lounge the staff looked after him so kindly . At midnight they decided to admit me . Too late to get care for my husband so they found him a bed till morning then supervised his return home to a carer . I can’t tell you how much this help meant to us . I was 4 days in ccu what a wonderful place care second to non , staff settled ( same teams who all seem to work well together , lovely food and clean bright environment . Sent to a Papworth so no chance to really thank you to everyone . Would also like to say thankyou to f7 and f8 for there warm welcome in the middle of the night for myself and husband nothing was too much trouble . I think West Suffolk went above and beyond and I don’t know another hospital that would have done the same . Sorry to have to add Big gripe tre the car parking system it is a disgrace and staff should not have to pay . Terrible set up . Wanted me to pay £30 because I was admitted by a/e and couldn’t move my car !

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, we're delighted that you received such good care at what must have been a very scary time for you and your husband, and will pass on your thanks to the staff involved.

With regards to your parking charges, please do get in touch with our PALS Team who will be able to look into it for you. Their phone number is 01284 712555 or you can email them at pals@wsh.nhs.uk

We hope that you are now making a good recovery at home.

Best wishes
