"World Class service in Prosthetics"

I wanted to share my story about how the UK WESTMARC prosthetic service is truly world class. I have been fortunate enough to travel across the world staying in various countries. 

When I returned back to UK however, I truly appreciated the incredible warm and professional service I received through the NHS and in particular my WESTMARC senior Prosthetist Anne.

Whereas I found the service in other countries to be basic or highly dependant on insurance policies, the UK experience is integrated and I can access multiple caring professional who are determined for me to get the best possible experience possible. More specifically, since I have been back they have helped arrange specific training sessions with Paralympic coach, running sessions from voluntary organisations as well as providing me with huge freedom by supplying and expertly fitting my first running blade helping and coaching me to run my first 10k later this year. They have also moved me on to new technology that has ruined pain and discomfort from my daily life by leveraging new suction/vacuum gel liner technology.

This has given me a huge lift and truly changed my life and I have helped work with others in the hospital who also need some encouragement. The hard work the team does, I feel goes under the radar and I wanted to shine a light on some of what they do, I know from experience that dozens, if not hundreds of patients would tell similar stories about the whole team there but in particular for me Anne

They all deserve medals for the humanity and compassion they show to all there patients and there dedication and professionalism.
