"Telephone system is useless"

Looking at previous comments it seems that telephone booking system is still inadequate 12 months later

Why waste NHS money sending out letters to patients such as myself asking me to have my bloods tested and make an appointment only to be frustrated by the computerised telephone answering system referring me to numbers in Wales, Scotland and who to call if your are seriously ill. Nothing of any use if you want to make an appointment the sole reason why the number exists is it any wonder I have blood pressure issues.

Many Thanks for taking the time to comment on NHS Choices.

We have been having multiple problems and issues with our telephone lines at present. As a practice we are finding this incredibly frustrating both for our patients and ourselves. Because of this we have been having work on the system and had thought it was getting better.
