"Thank you for your care and empathy"

I just wanted to leave feedback about two particular doctors, who this morning carried out a minor surgical procedure on my daughter's back.

My daughter has Asperger's Syndrome, and simply being touched or having to remove her clothing in front of someone is incredibly traumatic for her, and so she had slept very little last night, worrying about what was to come.

However, one particular doctor talked to my daughter sensitively and empathically about what was going to happen, and ensured her full agreement and understanding before proceeding.

Throughout the process, both doctors were reassuring, compassionate and incredibly kind to my daughter - nothing was rushed and she was made to feel valued and understood.

I just want to say thank you - against a backdrop of an under-resourced and undervalued NHS, I felt so privileged to be able to access a free service where my daughter's needs were not only understood but were dealt with in such a caring and sensitive way.
