"Waiting for my 12 week dating scan at Castle Hill"

About: Castle Hill Hospital

(as the patient),

Attended hospital for first scan. Sat in a waiting room full of other people waiting for their scans. Staff nowhere to be seen (but definitely heard!). They were clearly all on their lunch breaks and in the various rooms that go off the waiting area.

Whilst sat waiting (already anxiously) all we could hear was staff laughing really loudly and raucously, then in and out of doors shouting to each other, before the clinics / scans began.

Not very professional and gave a really bad impression. I work in the NHS myself and as anyone would, I appreciate staff need their breaks etc, but not within hearing distance of waiting patients and seemingly using clinical rooms to have their breaks in.
