On arrival at the High Wycombe Hospital I was put off by the ugly building, and climbing the stairs to the 'First Floor' without any directions endoscopy department-but after wandering around, where I now know I should not have been (Upper Ground Floor!) , I was gathered up by a very pleasant nurse who escorted me up to the First Floor - where I would have been taken had I used the lift from the Ground Floor.
However from the moment of arrival at the Endoscopy Reception everything was warm, caring and very professional.
I wish to thank Dr Helmer and all the nurses who showed great compassion and care in my Gastroscopy investigation. The tea, biscuits and detailed report of the findings were 'icing on the cake'.
Well done Bucks NHS
