"Minor surgery"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Dermatology

(as a service user),

I have had a sebaceous cyst for about 5yrs and it was getting larger so went to have it removed.

Appointment was for 3 pm and I was taken through promptly by a cheerful  assistant named Margaret where I was greeted by the rest of the team and made to feel comfortable and at ease.

Cyst was removed intact, (bonus) and wound stitched and dressed. I saw the cyst before it went off to lab, the team gave me letter for Docs and pamphlet with instructions about care as well as verbal instructions.

The team could not have been more pleasant  putting me at ease and I was in the car heading home by 3.30 pm.

Most efficient, would have no qualms about any other minor surgery.

It is lovely that you have taken time to leave such lovely reassuring feedback about your experience at the minor operations clinic and I have shared this with our team. We try to keep a relaxed atmosphere in our clinic and it is reassuring to hear that you felt at ease which is our aim as it can be a very anxious time.

I hope your wound is healing well.

Thanks again.

Kirsty
