"Rude and disinterested receptionist"

I'm an expectant mother (first child) and called the GP to let them know and make any appointments I needed to.

When the phone was finally answered, I explained I had found out I was pregnant and before I finished my sentence the receptionist was listing the number of a midwife that I needed to call because it was "nothing to do with us".

I had to ask her to stop and slow down and then grabbed a pen etc.

Had I been pregnant and there had been an issue, or indeed it had not been a wanted pregnancy, that would have been awful, and also incorrect information if I did need to see a doctor (if under 20 weeks and there is a problem your doctor is the person to call, so I'm told).

Very rude, snappy and disinterested.
