"Dilated Cardiomyopathy"

About: Wycombe Hospital / Cardiology

After an unexpected diagnosis of dilated cardiomyopathy I cannot recommended highly enough the treatment I have received.

The care and attention were outstanding and despite the poor NHS being in dire straits, I was pleased.

The only comment I would make is that the NHS need a central data base for all information on tests etc regarding patients. This would save time, money and confusion all round.

I cannot believe that we cannot have this as I have been under three different hospitals and sometimes one doctor does not know what the other has recommended.

Dear patient

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on this website.

Although, it is pleasing to read that the treatment, care and attention you received in the Cardiology Department in Wycombe Hospital were outstanding; it is also disappointing to hear that there is no central database.

We would like to understand more about these issues so that we can try and resolve them and also to learn from your experience of our services.

If you are happy to share more detail about your specific experience with us, please contact our dedicated Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01296 316042 or email bht.pals@nhs.net

Kind regards

Patient Advice & Liaison Service (BHT)
