"outpatients appointment"

About: East Surrey Hospital

(as the patient),

Just returned from outpatients feeling not very good..

I had one issue dealt with, (very well) but felt very rushed through. I was sent away with no follow up having been given no time to discuss on going issues, which are the most important to my health and well being.

Having had my appointment messed around and didn't want to wait an extra 8 months, I asked for a sooner one, which was todays. I now feel like I have been punished and discharged from the clinic as a punishment for sticking up for myself with the appointments.

I feel as if the ongoing issues will never be dealt with now, whereas I have never felt like this before in this clinic. All a bit depressing really.

Dear Dizzy Chick

I'm really sorry that you had a bad experience in the clinic.

If you would like me to help then please email me on ben.mearns@nhs.net and I will do my best to assist you.

If you would like some further time with the clinic team I can certainly arrange that for you and please do not worry that rescheduling your appointment has any effect at all on the care that you receive. We are here for you and want to help.

Please let me know if you would like me to arrange for you to receive a phone call, appointment or something else so that you can get the answers that you need.

Many thanks

Ben
