"Patronising staff and incorrect diagnosis"

I went to Grantham minor injuries clinic on the 16th June 2018 following a phone call with 111 who said I should go and they would pass on the information. I came in and they didn’t think I should be there as it was “only a bug bite” it seemed irrelevant that I’m allergic, in extreme pain and the size of it. I told them I was bitten the night before and it’s now the size of a snooker ball. The nurse on reception said “with respect that’s not a minor injurie”, if it’s not a minor injurie what is it as on the minor injuries websites it’s says to go for bug bits and stings. He also said “111 always do this” as if we shouldn’t have been sent anywhere because there was. Irving wrong. I was seen shortly after by a female doctor who said it should go down on it’s on but in case it doesn’t prescribed antibiotics but only to use them if it wasn’t getting better after 24 hours and that’s all she said. It wasn’t getting better so today I went to Newark minor injuries unit who were more respectful, gave me advice on care, they’ve also told me it’s infected and if I hadn’t come it could have went into my bloodstream and I’d need to go to hospital straight away, and this can still happen. Grantham minor injuries didn’t say anything about watching out for infection or suggest it could be. Newark also said it’s the worst bite they’ve ever seen and that I nus t be in extreme pain, grantham weren’t sympathetic at all. I’m so unhappy with this service I will drive 20 minutes to go to Newark instead after this experience.
