Could you do their job? I couldn't.
My recent visit with the GP was superb. It was short notice when i asked to be seen and it was not any trouble to be seen. I was politely asked to take a seat and i would be called in as soon as possible by the Dr on call.
I was made to feel welcome, involved throughout my consultation and at no point did i feel uncomfortable or problematic to be seen.
I was given a thorough examination as well as receiving advice about exercises I could do at home to help.
We all know what a fix the NHS is in but I have to admire the time, patience and pure effort to carry out their role at this time. It can't be easy to say NO you do not need a prescription but credit to them for doing so and sharing ways in which we can start to help ourselves.
Many products are now available over the counter and often cheaper than a prescription so next time you do not get a prescription there must be a valid reason and the surgery may just be helping to save money.
Admiration to all at the surgery. Keep smiling as you all always do.
Note to many - There are more than just ourselves these people care for and perhaps it would do us good to remember this when we don't always get what we want.
These staff have to turn up for work the next day -
